Being a homeopath I am very priveledged to work with some wonderful people. I see so many people in my practice who are generally unhappy with life; they might not like their job, might not think they are in the right relationship, might not believe they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. I often work with these people on their journey, their journey towards happiness. But what makes us happy? I think that question is better asked another way as it is my observation that many people aren't happy as they constantly think that they are unhappy! Maybe I should ask, what keeps us unhappy? So many people have negative programmes running that happiness is never achieved. Despite the multitude of tweeks and changes that they do with jobs, partners & everything else, they are still not in that "happy" place that they are looking for. Working with a homeopath or another therapist can hel to re-write these negative programmes but it is my observation that there are a few core issues which need to change to find happiness. 1. Live for today & don't dwell on what happened in the past 2. Likewise don't worry too much about the future, it's not happened yet! 3. Go with the flow and don't resist change 4. Deal with strong emotions such as anger and resentment. Keeping hold of them does you no good 5. Don't compare yourself to anyone else as you are unique & the person who you think is perfect is probably not at all 6. Self critism can be very damaging. If you did your best then don't condemn yourself for not having done better! 7. Think about everything that you have already rather than focusing on the things that you haven't 8. Remember compliments and ignore insults Happiness is not what you have or what you haven't got, it's what you think about. Love and Light, Rachel x |
